LANDSCAPE ART WALLS by Anvision Architects.
MICRO-ARCHITECTURES IN THE LANDSCAPE INTEGRATING ART, ARCHITECTURE, AND LANDSCAPE ITSELF.
The main concept of the project is transforming landscape and architecture into an overlapping path of continual perception of art.
This project is targeted at Costantino Nivola art.
The sand-casting process invented by Costantino Nivola is reused to create a new type of exposition: the “landscape art wall”. “Landscape art wall” integrates art, architecture, and landscape in one place. It represents a new form of overlap of those disciplines.
“Landscape art walls” are suggested to be sand-casted from the local landscape of the millennial archaeological heritage of the Nuragic civilization, covered with local stones and mirrors surfaces. The mirrors are to reflect the surrounding landscape and art pieces. They may be presented in a distorted, cubistic way, so a person can perceive the art piece in an unusual way.
The new addition consists of two main structures. They are placed on the landscape around the existing trees with cascading platforms. They are positioned to present most panoramic views to Orani for visitors and at the same time, several “landscape art walls” have a frontal placement to be visible from the city. Moreover, these platforms are considered to be used as art-creating spaces. There are six houses placed in more private corners to accommodate inhabitants, museum visitors, and the local community. They represent a new and unique way of perceiving and creating art.
