Children’s camp, Okhtar village

Children’s camp, Okhtar village

The Children’s camp project in Okhtar village is located in Syunik. Its primary function was to establish a specialized children’s and youth camp that caters to the entire republic, accommodating up to 240 individuals. The camp consists of five buildings: the main building, the second building, the aid station building, the kitchen-dining room building, and the technical building.
During the project, the main, second, and canteen buildings underwent reconstruction with elements of revitalization, while preserving some aspects of their original structure. The facades of these buildings were carefully maintained, retaining their distinctive features, and enhanced with modern materials such as concrete, metal, and glass. This fusion of traditional and contemporary materials creates a harmonious blend that adheres to modern design principles.
The architectural solutions employed in the project are contemporary, reflecting the present era, yet they also pay homage to the architectural style prevalent during the Soviet period. This combination of different architectural epochs creates an intriguing atmosphere, adding to the uniqueness of the camp.
